Heights

I had to climb to the top of a church tower today. Well, at least that's how it seemed to me. In reality it was just half a tower, but who is measuring when your legs are shaking and head is spinning. I am not a fan of heights, especially when the stairs that lead to the tower where probably built .... a long time ago. The lady who showed me the beginning of the stairs said that it might be dirty and dusty along the way. That was the least of my problems considering the amount of time I spent trying to figure out wether it is a wise move to step on something that looks older than the universe. But I can be proud of myself because I did climb these stairs and I did look out of the window at the top. As it came out it was totally unnecessary because the window was too narrow to get a good look at the square (I was looking for a camera spot. If you are wondering why I was there in the first place). And as I also realized (after climbing to the tower, of course) there were probably at least five cameramen who could have saved me from that experience and told me that it was not the spot I needed. And if I think of it now - I could have figured it out myself just looking at the windows from the ground ...
